What is the Lorem Ipsum Generator?#
The Lorem Ipsum Generator fills layouts and drafts with placeholder text. It writes in Latin or Japanese, in paragraphs or single sentences. The result can be copied as plain text or as HTML with paragraph tags.
How to Use#
Choose a language, a text type, and a count. The text updates at once. Copy the whole result, or a single paragraph or sentence.
Options#
- Language: Latin builds sentences from classical vocabulary. Japanese picks finished sentences, mixing literary openings with design-themed lines.
- Text type and count: Paragraphs join several sentences into blocks. Sentences are single lines.
- Paragraph length: Short, Medium, or Long. It sets how many sentences form one paragraph, and applies to paragraph mode only.
- Standard opening: starts the first block with a familiar first line. Latin opens with the classic Lorem ipsum sentence, Japanese with a well-known novel opening.
- HTML output: wraps each block in
<p>tags, joined by line breaks. Plain output separates blocks with blank lines.

Notes#
The Japanese set combines openings from works whose copyright has expired with general sentences about design. It is meant as neutral filler, not as a quote collection.

Each block is wrapped in a <p> element, one block per line. There is no full HTML document
wrapper, so it can be pasted straight into existing markup.
Regenerating shows different wording each time. There is no history, so copy the text before regenerating when the current version is needed.
No. It only sets how many sentences form one paragraph. Your chosen length is still applied when you switch back.
On a desktop, each block can be copied on its own. On phones and tablets, copy the whole result and remove the parts you do not need.
